A budgeting app in English and Chinese

AI Budgie’s assistant understands English and Chinese, so you can record spending in whichever comes naturally: Starbucks yesterday, 5 bucks or 昨天星巴克 5 刀.

The whole app, this website and the Help Center can be switched between English and Simplified Chinese, with prices in Canadian dollars in Canada and US dollars elsewhere.

Recording a purchase

Example conversation

You type “Starbucks yesterday, 5 bucks”. AI Budgie drafts a $5.00 Dining out expense dated yesterday; you tap Record it, and it is recorded.

Type what you spent, in English or Chinese.

  2. 2

The assistant replies with a card: the shop, the category, the amount and the date.

  3. 3

Tap Record it to save it, or Change to fix anything first.

Who it’s for

  • Chinese speakers in Canada and the US who think about money in Chinese but get paid and shop in dollars.
  • Bilingual households, where one person prefers English and another Chinese: each account picks its own language.
  • Anyone learning either language who would rather not fight the budget app too.

Switching language

Choose English or 中文 from the language menu on any page; signed in, your choice is saved to your account. The public site has its own Chinese address at aibudgie.app/zh, and every guide in the Help Center exists in both languages.
